Introduction & Capabilities

By extending the sensory feedback of modern day touchscreens, TacTile Pinpoint creates a new dimension of vibration respond feedback – TacTile Pinpoint

The technology is small add-on software designed for easy combination with existing systems, enabling a much more intuitive user experience enabling a more natural navigation on all touchscreens such as smartphones, tablets, automobile controls, industrial machinery, and household appliances

Today

TacTile Pinpoint offers a small add-on software designed to be easily combined with existing systems, enabling a much more intuitive user experience

The Problem

UNADRESSED GAP IN THE MARKET

For the last ten years touchscreens have become an omnipresent technology, making its way into Smartphones, Tablets, Computers, Cars, Airplanes, Household Appliances and High Tech Machinery. The use of touch screens has created a fundamental challenge in recreating the haptic experience that is natural to human interaction

SAFETY RISK

Touch screens poses a safety risk in many situations, where your attention is drawn away from your primary activity, like driving, because you are forced to look at the touch screen to operate the device in question

VISION IMPAIRED

Nearly ½ billion in the world are vision impaired. For the visually impaired community, touchscreens represent a major setback in how they interact with technology

SOFTWARE ADVANTAGES  OVER HARDWARE

Firstly, hardware versus software is far more expensive to maintain

Secondly, easy to software update virtual buttons with new services and functionalities

Thirdly, physical buttons require space on the handset – space which could instead be used by the display and designing new products

The Solution

CAMAR’s patented technology uses vibration to dramatically increase the tactile feedback from touchscreens, affording users a much more intuitive user experience, while reducing the need to look at the touchscreen

TacTile PinPoint enables a much safer interaction with touchscreens, especially in situations where a moment’s distraction can have disastrous consequences, such as driving or operating machinery

TacTile PinPoint is also ideal for the Visually Impaired, who currently face major challenges navigating a “glass surface”, as it enables easier navigation on consumer products such as smartphones, tablets and household appliances

Manufactures might save money as they avoid unnecessary production costs, less repair cost, and on top providing new design opportunities and add-on business

TacTile Pinpoint differentiator

  • Software quick implementation
CAMAR uses only the standard vibration motor found in most devices, creating an easy implementation process for manufacturers, developers, and distributors
  • Next level vibration feedback
Our technology creates an experience far beyond the mundane ‘one vibration confirmation’ found in most products
  • Big Data
Offers the possibility for partners to capture data and analysis for user behaviour
  • US patent
Granted US patent for the technology behind tactile feedback

Compatible systems

TacTile Pinpoint is compatible with Android and soon will be compatible for iOS and Windows. It can also be implemented in to individual apps as well, allowing industries to install and integrate the technology in their product range at minimal cost

How does TacTile Pinpoint work?

An example of how TacTile Pinpoint works:

Put your finger over the touchscreen as you normally do, and instead of just feeling the glass plate, you will immediately feel the enabled ‘3D buttons’ and sense a feedback from each app or function

The feedback will naturally guide the user further and by slightly pressing harder on the screen, the desired app or function will open

With TacTile Pinpoint you can touch and browse over the app´s or functions without they open immediately

A great way for many customers to use touchscreens
