TacTile Pinpoint® UI component suite is made for soft keys, areas, icons and functionalities creating a highly responsive proactive haptic guidance functions for touch devices. The technology TacTile Pinpoint® provides safer and faster intuitive access to simple control functionalities in touch devices with a vibration engine component. The more powerful or multiple engines in a touch unit, the more powerful vibration impact.  It is based on our new haptic philosophy using proactive guidance and play with colours that provide higher safety, innovative user experience and much more.

TacTile Pinpoint® is a small add-on software that enhances various tactile components that can easily be combined into existing applications. We will expand our suite to other platforms e.g. web react and C++ and are always looking for high skilled innovative software developers.

The UI Feedforward component suite provides a rapid access to control functionalities without the need to look at the screen, its algorithmics anticipate what action you are about to perform and guides the user to reach a touch target for example by vibration and colours. Feedforward simply means its algorithmics anticipates what action, you are about to perform in touch devices.

UI Component Action.

UI Component of Activation. Activation is an optional component that handles how to activate an Action. If this is not activated, an Action will be activated everywhere, and it would not be possible to have several Actions on the same page at the same time.

 

Corner Activation

Activates the given Action when touch starts in the specified corner.

Split Activation

Activates the given Action when the specified half of the screen

(right/left/top/bottom) is touched.

Hardware agnostic

TacTile Pinpoint® utilises standard vibration motors built into most devices and uses these vibration engines to provide haptic feedback. No new hardware has to be fitted to use TacTile Pinpoint®.

UI Component Action.

Action is the very basic component that handles vibration/sound and the specific action to be performed.

Simple Action

Performs the defined action when the user hits the target component.

​​

Trigger Outside Action

Performs the defined action when the user hits the target component, or anywhere on the screen (if this feature is enabled).

 

Scroll Action

Performs the defined action when the user scrolls horizontally or vertically (depending on the setup of the component) with their finger.

UI Component of Feedforward.

The Feedforward colour is a function of the distance from the user's finger to the target component and changes as the user moves the finger. Feedforward is an optional component that handles Feedforward for a given Action. If this is not given, there is no Feedforward for that Action.

Simple Feedforward and Distance Feedforward

Sets the Feedforward colour of the specified Feedforward component when Action is enabled. Resets the colour when Action is "disabled". The Feedforward colour is a function of the distance from the user's finger to the target component and changes as the user moves the finger.
